I See You Clearly Now
Observation skills to see through the eyes of love

Workshop for Parents and Educators
March 8th, 9:30 AM to 1 PM

Come and learn new skills to parent and educate children from within, by starting to gain access to your own inner wisdom and guidance. The times are calling for creative, unique responses to everyday challenges in raising the next generation by leading with a compassionate heart. What are the shifts we are called to make to raise ourselves to this new level of being for the sake of our children?

Observation exercises, artistic activity, movement and New Adult Learning processes will support our explorations during this half day workshop, which also serves as an introduction to the weeklong Summer Festival of Arts and Education program at the Rudolf Steiner College Canada https://rscc.ca/

Marg Beard, who hails from Wingham, Ontario, is a Waldorf educator/mentor having been in the field for over 30 years. Her educator/mentoring journey started with the homeschooling, from birth to Grade 12, of her three now adult children. This later led to being, for many years, a mentor for RSCC (Toronto) Foundations Studies in Anthroposophy Distance program (Homeschooling and Early Years streams) as well as the part-time Teacher Education Program (Early Years), a co-founder and Director of RSCC’s Healing Education and Remedial Training (HEART) program, and now a facilitator of the New Adult Learning programs My Child Myself as well as My Home, Family and Community (www.newadultlearning.com).  She is a Parenting and Life in the Home Coach through her private initiative KALLIAS, offering customized in-person and on-line programing/mentoring for individuals, couples and groups. She offers programs locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.  She can be reached at  [email protected]

Kati Gabor, New Adult Educator, FS Distance Mentor at RSCC, Parenting Consultant and Care Professional certified in Simplicity Parenting, Emotional Self-Regulation and Discipline and Guidance. She is a trained and experienced Waldorf teacher who has worked with parents, teachers and healing professionals for the past 20 years. Her focus on the inner work of the teacher led her to Michael Chekhov’s drama exercises which inspired her to complete the Art of Acting course at the Threefold Educational Center, NY. Kati facilitates the Connections and the My Child Myself programs of New Adult Learning (https://newadultlearning.com/) incorporating her observations and experiences about movement and gesture with a focus on embodiment practices, creative processes and destiny learning. Parenting - A Quest of Our Times

Picture
“And what is more precious than light?” The snake immediately replies, “Conversation!”
The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily - Fairytale by Goethe
In these changing times, parenting is a journey filled with questions, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Let’s take a moment to have a conversation about this quest and explore important topics such as:
  • Who is raising our children?
  • What do children want and what do they truly need?
  • What do parents and caretakers need to make sure they have meaningful offerings for future generations?
  • What skills and capacities are essential to navigate the stormy waters of life in the 21st century?
  • Who is responsible for developing these skills?
  • What might the future look like through the eyes of our children?
  • How can we help them realize their dreams?

Let us come together to discuss the immense potential and challenges that lie ahead of every parent on this journey. As fellow travelers, we will map out a path to find resources—both spiritual and practical—that support the growth of our children and ourselves. After all, it takes a village to raise a child.
