We are pleased to share that Polaris will be hosting a screening of the film Time to Play, by Kim Hunter, followed by a question-and-answer period afterwards.

The film explores the importance of play in childhood and invites reflection on how modern childhood has changed. It examines themes surrounding free play, risk-taking, movement, creativity, and connection in healthy child development, while encouraging conversation about the role these experiences play in children’s wellbeing and learning.

More information about Kim’s work and the film can be found on her website: Time to Play

Childcare will be available during the event but spaces are limited so please register below.

Donations are welcome and will go directly to Ms. Hunter.

Families are asked to register online so that we have a sense of numbers attending and can plan accordingly for childcare needs.

Workshop for Parents and Educators
March 8th, 9:30 AM to 1 PM

Come and learn new skills to parent and educate children from within, by starting to gain access to your own inner wisdom and guidance. The times are calling for creative, unique responses to everyday challenges in raising the next generation by leading with a compassionate heart. What are the shifts we are called to make to raise ourselves to this new level of being for the sake of our children?

Observation exercises, artistic activity, movement and New Adult Learning processes will support our explorations during this half day workshop, which also serves as an introduction to the weeklong Summer Festival of Arts and Education program at the Rudolf Steiner College Canada https://rscc.ca/
