Leather Notebook Cover Workshop with Fiber Artist Mariann Hegedus
Wednesdays, May 17th to June 14th, 12 to 1 pm (5 sessions)
Come and make your own beautiful and unique notebook cover out of leather, either for yourself or to gift to someone special. Participants will learn basic leather crafting techniques using a variety of tools. No prior experience needed. For children 8 years and up, teens, and adults.
Cost: $125 plus $25 material fee
Archery Program with Instructor Mariann Hegedus
Wednesdays, May 17th to June 14th (5 sessions)
1:45 to 2:45 pm or 3 to 4pm
This beginner archery class will demonstrate and teach the fundamentals of traditional archery. Children will learn about the history of archery, proper archery etiquette and flow of the "instinctive" shooting style. We will practice diverse shooting exercises on the ground using a recurve bow. Archery will be done kneeling, standing, walking, jumping, and running, among other positions. For children aged 9 and up.
Cost for both sessions is $150 plus a $25 rental fee.
Needle Felted Picture Workshop with Fiber Artist Mariann Hegedus
Friday, June 2nd, 5:30 to 8:30 pm
Come and explore the magic of needle felting. Participants will learn basic needle felting techniques to make their own beautiful needle felted picture which they can take home or gift to someone special. No prior experience necessary.
Participants are welcome to bring in a picture they wish to recreate or they can use their imagination and creativity to create a unique piece.
For teens and adults (children aged 10+ may participate as well) For children 10 years and up, teens, and adults.
Cost: $75 plus $20 material fee
Euro-Gym Classes with Instructor Mariann Hegedus
Wednesdays, May 17th to June 14th, 10 to 11 am (5 sessions)
Euro-gym is the unity of body-mind-spirit in physical exercises, focusing on your internal power in addition to the use of your external strength.
This choreographed fitness program places equal attention to the right and left side of the brain. The complexity of the exercises and the necessary concentration this program requires, will keep you in the present moment while it moves your body and muscles from head to toe. This results in a kind of meditative state and will make you forget the problems, stresses and tasks of everyday life throughout the hour of challenging but fun exercises.
