Governance

The Core Concept:
Three Spheres

The school operates on Rudolf Steiner’s model of the Threefold Social Order. This framework divides school management into three distinct, self-governing areas to ensure balance and health across the community:

  • The Cultural Sphere (Teachers): Focuses on education, innovation, and the arts. It operates with freedom so that learning and creativity can flourish without unnecessary restriction.

  • The Rights Sphere (Board): Focuses on rules, governance, and legal agreements. It ensures every community member is treated with absolute fairness and equality.

  • The Economic Sphere (Administration): Focuses on finances, resources, and practical work. It operates on teamwork and mutual support to sustain the entire school community.

Key Operating Principles

  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Each sphere manages its own responsibilities independently, while maintaining strict respect and support for the other two.

  • Unified Vision: Every decision across all three spheres is guided by the school's core vision, mission, and values.

  • Multiple Roles: Individuals may participate in more than one sphere, but they must remain mindful of which role they are fulfilling at any given time.

  • Community Health: The school prioritizes active community engagement, social generosity, and constructive conflict resolution, keeping the children and their families at the centre of school life.
