Ready for tomorrow
Nurturing curiosity, confidence, creativity and compassion in an ever-changing world.
Why Polaris is Unique
Childhood Honoured
We meet children where they are developmentally, creating space for imagination, curiosity and wonder. In Kindergarten, this means an unhurried rhythm of play, story, movement and time outdoors.
Unique Potential Nurtured
Small classes allow teachers to truly know each child, their strengths, challenges, interests and individual ways of learning. Strong relationships create the security and belonging children need to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
A Community of Belonging
Polaris is intentionally small, creating a warm community where children, teachers and families know one another. Shared experiences, traditions and celebrations nurture meaningful relationships and a strong sense of belonging.
Learning Comes Alive
In the grades, academics are brought to life through movement, story, art, music and hands-on experience. This active approach encourages curiosity, deep understanding and critical thinking while cultivating joy and a lifelong love of learning.
Phone & Screen-Free
Our school day is intentionally phone and screen-free, giving children the space to be fully present, to think, create, move, play and connect with one another. Learning happens through direct experience, sustained attention and genuine human connection.
Connected to Nature
Children spend meaningful time outdoors in every season. Our Nature Connect program extends learning beyond the classroom while fostering curiosity, resilience, confidence, teamwork and a lasting relationship with the natural world.
What parents are saying
A couple of parents of Polaris students came together to talk about their experiences and what it has meant for them as a family.

“It's important that we discover an educational method where people learn to learn and go on learning their whole lives.”

Our Programs
Parent and Child
A gentle introduction to the rhythms and warmth of Waldorf-inspired early childhood for young children and the adults who care for them.
In a calm and welcoming space, children are free to play and explore while parents and caregivers connect, share, and learn alongside one another. Seasonal songs, stories, simple handwork and a shared snack create a joyful morning of connection and community.
Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten honours childhood with an unhurried rhythm that gives children time to play, imagine, move, create and explore.
Storytelling, song, meaningful work, natural materials and abundant time outdoors nurture the whole child while fostering confidence, social connection and a sense of wonder. Within a warm and predictable environment, children are given the space to grow, discover and experience the joy of simply being a child.
Elementary (Grades 1-8)
Learning comes alive through a rich academic curriculum that weaves together story, movement, art, music, handwork and hands-on experience.
Small classes and strong, multi-year relationships with teachers allow students to be truly known and supported as they develop curiosity, critical thinking, resilience, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Beyond the core academics, a rich variety of subjects and experiences broadens students’ learning, nurtures their individual strengths, and helps them grow into creative, capable, and independent thinkers ready to meet the world.
