 Summer Camps 2022

This summer send your child to awaken their creativity and knowledge through a rich and multifaceted experience. We are excited to offer engaging and educational camps throughout the summer for children of all ages. Our camps include a lot of time outdoors and lots of opportunities for creative exploration.

We have camps for children from 4 to 11 years old. Our camps are divided into various age groups. We will be offering our camp for children aged 4 to 6 every week from July 4th through August 12th. For older children we are offering camps for selected weeks within that date range. Please see the schedule below for details. Camps run from 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

Note that camps will only run if COVID-19 restrictions permit. If due to provincial or federal restrictions we are unable to operate our summer camp programs full refunds will be issued.

There is a minimum of 6 to 8 children needed  to proceed with any individual camp week below. If we do not have enough registrations we may cancel any given week and provide families with a minimum of two weeks notice and a full refund and/or credit as preferred.

Summer Camp Schedule

Ages 7 to 11
Creative Nature Camp
Ages 7 - 11
  • July 11 - Full (0/10 spots available)
This camp is about nurturing the “seedlings of creativity” within your child by learning about nature through crafting it - transforming observation, into inspiration, into a creative celebration! Each day will be a celebration of one of the elements – Earth, Water, Wind, Fire & Space! Time will be spent moving through nature, rain or shine, followed by a focused creative activity. Please note: this camp is recommended for kiddies who love some quiet time during the day to observe nature and focus on a creative project. Creative activities may include:
  • Soil Watercolors: Watercolors showcasing the magic of soil - from worms, and bugs to root systems and fungi.
  • Mushroom Terrariums: A mini forest floor in a jar celebrating the mighty mushroom and the lifecycle they help generate.
  • Geode Salt Paintings: Glimmering geode creations which inspire learning about how crystals and geodes are formed.
  • Sky Mobiles: Creating unique mobiles inspired by rain, rainbows, clouds, the night sky and flying kin.
  • Homemade Dying: Exploring various methods of naturally dying fabric using cyanotype, flowers and plants.
This camp is led by Bethany Leonard, local artist and outdoor educator.

Creative Innovate Camp
Ages 7 to 11
  • July 25 - One spot left (1/10 spots available)
This camp is an excellent continuation to the Creative Nature Camp. The intent is to create in innovative and sustainable ways, forming reciprocal relationships with nature and our communities. Your child will reimagine uses for found and recycled materials, transforming our understanding of materials that are typically “thrown away” and weaving new stories and creations with these materials. Time will be spent moving through nature, rain or shine, followed by a focused creative activity. Please note: this camp is recommended for kiddies who love some quiet time during the day to observe nature and focus on a creative project. Activities may include:
  • Seed Paper Making: Making paper using recycled paper embedded with seeds to be gifted back to the soil.
  • Treasure Trees: A uniquely engineered tree with rotating compartments in the trunk for storage.
  • 3D Illustration: Using upcycled materials to make illustrations, such as a pop-up Cookbook where food literally jumps off the page.
  • Community Mapping Mural: A large scale painting, mapping out imaginative ways of creating community.
  • Scrap Book Weaver: Learning how to bind recycled paper to create personalized journals & scrap books.
This camp is led by Bethany Leonard, local artist and outdoor educator.
