Admissions

Receive the child with deep respect, raise him with love,
and let him go in freedom.

A child’s educational path is one of the biggest decisions a family makes. At Polaris, our admissions process is meant to help facilitate the decision-making process and ensure that Polaris is the right school for your child and your family. We strive to provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision and welcome your questions. Our admissions application was created to provide us with enough information to see if we can meet the needs of your child and your expectations. It is just as important for us to know who you are, as it is for you to know who we are.

We encourage families to browse through our website, and visit our events page for a list of upcoming Open Houses and Walk Through the Grades. Additionally, there are various workshops and lectures throughout the year on the topic of Waldorf education. You may also contact us to arrange for an individual tour, or to request more information.

2021-2022 School Year

We are happy to announce the launch of our 2021-2022 school year. We are now accepting admissions applications for all of our programs from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

We understand that we are living in unprecedented times, and there is a lot of uncertainty in our lives. No one knows what the future holds or what school will look like this fall. That being said, we must begin planning ahead in order to be prepared and to be able to offer this healing education to the children and families who come. More than ever, our holistic pedagogical approach is needed.

We will continue to do our best to provide a healthy learning environment for the children during these difficult times, both in-person and remotely if needed. Taking into account both their emotional and physical well-being, looking at how we can best serve the children under our care.

We will continue to work with our local health unit and work within their recommendations. As always, at Polaris you can expect smaller class sizes, hands-on experiential learning, movement and art woven into the academics, connection and community.

We look forward to planning another school year and welcoming returning and new students, to establish a healthy rhythm that will provide the backdrop for their learning.
